‘That’ BooHoo Dress everyone’s been talking about…

When CIBII Australia member Ashleigh posted photos of her in a $27 Boohoo dress she wasn’t prepared for the hysteria that would follow!

One of the most common questions posted on the Can I Breastfeed In It? Australia Facebook group goes something along the lines of “I need something to wear for my baby’s christening/naming day/etc…something a bit dressy that I can easily breastfeed in” or “Help! I have a wedding to attend and will need a dress that I will be able to easily feed or pump in”.

The Off the shoulder wrap Bodycon dress from Boohoo.com seems to tick a lot of boxes for many mums in search of something tasteful with the all-important boob access! And priced at only $45 (and even cheaper with their 40% off sales) and available in five different colours it’s definitely an affordable option.

Thank you Ashley for letting us use your gorgeous photo!

The beauty of boohoo is that this particular dress comes in different fits and sizing, catering for a range of body types including tall and plus-size as well as another version with detailing on the sleeves for a different look. While it is advertised as an off-the-shoulder dress, to be worn comfortably as a dress for nursing it will work much better if it is worn on the shoulder with a maternity bra. The flattering ‘midi’ hemline makes it a modest option for events such as christenings or baptisms. You do however get what you pay for, the bottom half of the dress is not lined so special care is needed to the style of underwear worn with the dress with many women who have already purchased it needing to wear a slip or shapewear to avoid it being see-through, particularly if you pick one of the pale colours.
